WHAT IS CAMSHAFT REMANUFACTURING?

Camshaft remanufacturing restores a worn or damaged OEM camshaft so it can be returned to service rather than replaced. At NorthCoast, each camshaft is individually evaluated and may be precision ground, straightened, welded or repaired as needed to restore the proper lobe profiles, lift and critical surfaces. 

A new replacement camshaft is not always the best option. OEM camshafts may be expensive, difficult to find or no longer available. Remanufacturing can often restore the original camshaft at significant savings while avoiding long replacement lead times and reducing equipment downtime.
